About

About KIN:

The Kinsmen Club of Kingston is a small group of dedicated individuals who strive to serve our “Community’s Greatest Need”, since its inception in 1932. The club is 100% volunteer-run with 100% of proceeds returning back to the community.

WHAT WE DO

Our group mix professionalism and fun to raise money in our community.

Donations to worthy causes have always been our goal in fundraising projects such as Kinsmen Theatre, Kin Big Money Bingo, the Kin2Win 50/50 Raffle, and Kinsmen Dream Home Lottery.

The Kinsmen Club of Kingston is under the umbrella national organization, Kin Canada.

In 2020, Kin Canada celebrated 100 years as a service organization, proudly Canadian. Over a full century, Kin Canada has raised 1 Billion dollars nationally for those most in need.

We support charities and causes such as…

BGC South East is committed to serve communities in our local region where needs reside and opportunities arise.
Our mission is to provide safe supportive spaces and positive mentoring relationships where young people experience new opportunities and develop confidence and skills for life.
Our vision is that all young people discover and achieve their full potential.

Nationally, Cystic Fibrosis research has always been a project that Kinsmen are proud to support. The quality of life of those with Cystic Fibrosis has been forever changed by the partnership and money raised by Kinsmen across Canada. To date Kin Canada has donated over $50 million nationally to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

In the early 1870’s, the St. Vincent de Paul Society was incorporated in Kingston, Ontario. But the story of 85 Stephen Street begins in 1965 when the Society began to formalize their care for those in need through St. Mary’s Cathedral.
We work very hard to maintain the quality of service that our founders and early supporters aimed to provide. We stay close to our roots and offer kindness and compassion to all whom cross the threshold at 85 Stephen St.

We believe in seniors living in dignity and support that through seniors housing in two properties in Kingston.

We believe in youth recreation and sport as a vehicle to help kids at a young age to be productive members of society.

We believe in helping families who struggle to put food on the table.
We believe in helping community organizations that support Kingston families.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED?

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers that want to enrich their community.
